The fourth entry to what seems like a series of these posts. Huzzah! We have trend here at themichaeljoseph. What’s the trend you may find yourself asking?
Well to put it simply… I’m a winner.
Yeah this time I entered a competition via twitter with @scuzztv. It was a simple RT to win scenario and so I did. Next day first thing I see is Scuzz now following me on twitter followed by a DM (Direct Message).
The prize? Well, as seen below, two tickets to see SleepWave at the barfly in London.
So go forth and enter to increase your chances to win!
A reoccurring theme in my blog it seems. Competitions is defined as: the activity or condition of striving to gain or win something by defeating or establishing superiority over others.
Now lets look over the past few months of what has been won in the past 5 months, not all by myself, that I have been fortunate to take part in including
– free tea and cakes,
– free iPad Mini,
– free trek america trip (in the UK) with 5 friends,
– travel to Amsterdam, courtesy of Eurolines, also including two shows to performances at Amsterdam Fringe Festival
– £500 off a On The Go Tour to Turkey for 2015.
So would I have been fortunate enough to participate in these adventures had I not or my S.O (significant other)entering the competitions in the first place… No. Of course not as you have to be in it to win it.
It is as simple as that if you enter a competition you increase your chances of winning by 100% – a phrase I am often heard saying during work. So my question to you… why haven’t you taken that chance!?
So if you happen to follow my blog or have had a look through my posts you may recall I wrote about how I never really entered competitions until a someone I know started winning.
Well… An update for you. I WON AN iPAD. That’s right I entered a competition a few weeks ago now and answered a correct question on a live-stream from The National Lottery. And wallah I have my prize. An iPad mini arrived a few weeks after and just happened to be what I am writing this on!
So get out there and enter! There’s something to be won!
I apologise for the bad photograph on the last one.
Competitions. Something that offer reward for often little work. Be it a text, signing up to a newsletter, answering a question right or even – with social network being a huge focus for many competitions – retweet or share/ & like.
Many – if you are like me – avoid the competitions that require signing up or doing something just because its effort and the chances of winning are extremely unlikely. Well… recently upon a friend winning a competition with a prize of £500 off a tour holiday its time to start entering them.
I feel there are so many people that don’t bother that you can only increase your chances by entering, just fill out a form and done. Submit a photo and done. sign up to an email and done. and so many more just go for it there’s no stopping you. Everyone has the same chances so why not. Take the initial chance. Take that step closer to being a winner as you never know what you could win… specially if you enter loads of competitions.
GOOD LUCK & I hope you win!
I’ll give you a few details to give a back story to this post.
During the months of October and November my tattoo parlour put on a raffle to win free tattoo sessions. It costs £2 to enter and you are put into a pool of numbers with your name. The numbers stay in the hat until the raffle has ended so each week if your number hasn’t been pulled then there will always be next week – good right?
So I entered because I could. I had £2 in paypal account and thought
“what’s the worst that could happen?”
So weeks pass no luck and I forget about it. UNTIL TODAY… after being in a shoddy mood just wasting the time away and I then see my number! My number came up! I couldn’t believe it so I posted and asked if my entry from weeks ago still counted… Sure enough it did! I WON!
Mood changed. Smiles all round. It was perfect timing.
